Soon i will be purchasing an aftermarket alarm for my SC400 ('93). What i am asking you guys is to pitch in what kind of alarm systems you guys have for any car or maybe which one you wished you had. I want the best security for the least amount of money. I dont need remote start or anything like that just a good security with remote unlock/ lock and maybe even a trunk opener.
So which ones are the ones i should consider?
Thanks in advance,
SCpwner

Bump... Com'n guys i need some advice seeing as how my car was broken into today... They stole my ipod and some cash in the center console all the while i was at school clue less of whats going on. They used a sock filled with rocks to break the window and it took 3 hours just to get the case filed. So please guys i need some info on some better car security.

I have a Clifford Matrix 50.5x. Its a DEI variant, similar to the other Viper models.
I like it: I get remote start, trunk unlock, and it has upto a 1-mile range. (It doesn't really work out to that much, but the range is like 20-30x of a standard alarm key).
It is also one of those two-way alarms, so when the alarm goes off, my keys start ringing. The nice thing is when you forget if you locked your car or not, you can always just look on the remote and you'll see whether you forgot.
In terms of security? Thats not really why I bought it, but it has a shock sensor, so if someone unlocks the doors without turning off the alarm, it will still sound.
