Default trouble shooting

my head unit is disconnected and my rear seat and panels are removed.

i drove my car today and noticed the following:

you know the little image on your dash that lights up when your car is skidding and vsc flashes it and beeps? well that thing is lit up all the time.

i could also hear a whine comming from the rear right tire area whenever i hit the gas.

also, i could hear water in a tank splashing from my trunk..is this just the gas in my tank and since i took out the chairs i could hear it?

well its been a week since i removed all this and i thought id take it around the block since its been off so long without use. just wondering if all this is related to no head unit and no rear chair.

thanks.

fierce,

Most of your noise problems will go away when you put the car back together.

As for the little VSC light, did you take apart the tray for the shifter? What EXACTLY was done?

as far as the shifter, i screwed off the **** and pulled off the black plastic molding around the panel that says "D, R, 4,3,2, etc"
i dont think that has anything to do with it?

umm to be more specific...
the vent is removed.
the ac panel and the head unit panel is removed.

and thats all the things i removed that are connected with wiring..i didnt plug them in when i took it for the short drive. is that the problem?

and is it alright to drive it with the skid light on? im thinkin maybe the whine i hear from the right rear tire is caused by that?

im gettin scared now -=O

btw percy...i just cant say it enough..your awesome. i dont know where i would be without your help and the nice book you wrote.
hopefully this weekend ill have enough time to get lots of progress done.

oops. i forgot that i also unplugged my 3rd break light..and the light on my dash was a picture with a car with straight lines comming out the back...i misread it as the skid one (has curvey lines)...so its just sayin i have a rear burnt bulb..

so problem solved.

im just real nervous taking apart a car so expensive and i get all retarded..i need to relax a little =) (wouldnt be like this if i was working on a civic).

fierce,

It's called PRACTICAL experience. It'll all be "old hat" in no time.
