Alright guys i have a tough one for ya

So i was trying to get my antenna off and for most cars that have the antenna go up when the radio is turned on, you just remove the base parts and then as the antenna is coming up you pull up on it and it should come right out, however i could not get it out. So do any of you guys know how to just remove the antenna and not the motor or anything.
