my cars had the viper alarm on it for many years now and has never failed on me. just today i went to remote start my car, and as i walk outside to check the car it isn't started. the first thing i went to check was my battery, as it often is the culprit. i opened the car door and all of a sudden my car was acting possessed! the dash lights were flickering like crazy and then boom all lights out. so i tried to jump the car and still no luck. the car still locks automatically, and the remote beeps signaling there is no not enough reception, however the remote is not communicating with the car! and i think it sent a signal to the kill the battery not allowing me to start it either. any ideas???

Could be the remote as I just asked my installer, he said the remotes can go out over time (even when the screen shows that it's ok).If you need one, I have one for sale in the classifieds.

try unpluging the alarm brain and try to jump the car

Sounds like low voltage. Check the battery in the car.
