eclipse deck. u have to have a avn series. to change the wallpaper, it should be in the manual

well i figured i would help everyone out with this question, just got off the phone with Eclipse and here is what they faxed me over.

Step 1: When storing the image data in a CD-R/RW disc, make a text file named "CSM.txt"(any content/text is OK) and store it together with the image data.

To create this necessary file, open Microsoft notepad in Accessories. The text data within the file does not matter. Simply save the file as "CSM.txt" and include the file on the same disc with the image you wish to use for the opening screen.

Tip: if you need to modify the image to fit the AVN screen you can use, MS Paint or any other image adjustment software.

the format of the disc and image that can be used on the opening screen are shown below. if your disc and/or data does not meet the conditions below, the file names may not be listen or displayed.

File Size < 100KB
File Name ISO9960
File Extension .jpg
Writing Method Single-session only
Image Size 416(w) x 240(h)dots <max>
Display File CSM.txt 1.jpg 2.jpg


Step 2: Dowload Image to CD-R/RW
1. Insert a CD-R/RW disct that includes your favorite image
*it will take approx 30 seconds to read the image data. While the image data is being read, do not operate or alter the ignition key.

2. Touch opening image change

3. Touch the image you want to display on the opening screen

4. Touch OK "Be sure to eject the CD-R/RW disc that includes the image data"

and there ya have it!

I hope this works, im gonna try it on my 6610, is there any way to save the original splash screen???

I just tried this on my AVN-6610, and it does not work, i dunno what else to do....

there's nothing in the manual for the AVN5510/6610. I also called Eclipse tech a few times and they told me that it should work regardless. guess I'll have to keep trying.

Default BYPASS LOCKOUT on Eclipse

Is there a bypass procedure for the Eclipse nav units so you can make route changes while moving? I know there is lots of info on Pioneer lockout bypass.

It worked like a charm. That was the easiest mod ever. Are there any other tricks for the AVN 6610?
