Default Need advice on CompuStar Pro P2W9000FMR

Fellas....this isn't a subject that I am very fluent in so I need your advice. My brother picked up a Mugen Si last week. I told him to throw an alarm on it as soon as possible to prevent anything happening to it. He stopped at a local installer on the way home from work the other day and they reccomended Compustar. I guess my questions are:

1) Is this a retuable company?
2) He was considering getting the CompuStar Pro P2W9000FMR; good choice?
3) Typical price of install, what he should look out for?
4) Any other reccomendations?

The car will typically be either in his garage or in the physicians secured parking lot at the hospital. Other than that he will probably be tooling around town, but it will rarely be left out overnight somewhere.

Thanks ahead of time....

the FMR is the remote. the alarm is the P2w900fm which is the two way paging pro series compustar alarm, it can also come in remote start.

compustar has been around for quite some time and is a good company with really good customer service. i have a compustar and like it, i like the pro series a little more because they have made a few improvements on it since the last generation.

if i had it to do all over again i would get the pro series or a DEI remote start alarm, python or clifford.

Thanks, I really appreciate the feedback I wish I knew more about car electronics...

He was thinking about taking it a step further and getting the sattelite tracking system, but i told him it was probably overkill. Do you guys know the typical price of install?

Are there any other reasonable arguments why he should go with another system over the compustar system? I really like hearing the customer service comment; I think that's a key selling point.

Thanks again

you can do lo jack installation yourself if you had all the tools . I have seen my lexus mechanic do lo jack many times. its not hard just need all the equipment. im pretty sure they charge you an arm and leg to have it in.
