OK, got a NEW Sub and amp but... its sounds muddy
I have a 98 es300 with Nakamichi. I just disconnected the 8in stock Nakamichi sub (2Ohm) because it fried, and put in a Kicker zx 400.1 mono amp, and a JBL GTO 1004 10in sub (in a sealed box). Circuit City did the install but here is the problem...
Its loud, but the sub is not "tight" and on faster songs, it sounds like the sub is not keeping up (like 1/2 a second behind during a fast song) and it sounds muddy and makes the song sound like crap.
How do I tighten up the sound of the sub, so it sounds better? Would you recommend that I make any adjustments to my amp? Help me out here. Or should I just go back to circuit city and have them look at it.
Also, what do you think about my sub choice?
Thanks
