I have a 94 sc300. Right now I have to turn the volume all the way up to hear the slightest sound out of the speakers for both CD and radio.

It has been happening on and off for the past month but now its off and seems to be staying that way.

Any idea whats going on?

 

Could be a number of things. A good place to start would be checking your factory amp and the voltage going to it. Follow that by the head unit.

 

is the factory amp in the rear or behind the headunit?
