Default Popping & Crackling from SC spreakers....

When I first start my 92 SC400 after its sat overnight, it wont play music from the radio. All that comes from the speakers is popping and crackling. After 7-10 minutes of driving, the music slowly comes back.

It sounds crazy but it seems like the more the car warms up, the better the radio works. If i park the car for 5-30 minutes and get back in and start it up, the radio works fine. If I let the car sit for a couple hours and start it back up, I have to drive around for 5-10 minutes to get sound back. Im

Maybe an amp problem? I dunno. The stereo is completly OEM and I do not have a changer.

BTW, most of the time it is the radio that causes this sort of problem... Very rarely is it the amp. And, in most cases where it is the amp, it has either been damaged physically or by water...

I'll get pics up soon. Im using a single DIN Alpine CD player. It screws directly to the top of the old radio opening with 4 screws on the sides. Underneath it I had a large opening, so I used black acrylic and cut it to fit the opening the jb welded it to the inside of the big radio trim piece. I attached my AFC Neo to the front of the black acrylic with double sided tape. It looks great. Ill post pics up soon.
