which ecu did you replace? the main ecu has nothing to do with your radio. i have one out of my car that im not using since i upgraded 
it probably has to do something with illumination in the car. when the lights are off does the radio work? does just stay off? blinks?
check all the fuses. highly doubt its that but i usually start from the fuses and work up to bigger and better things.
