No. That particular rattle is because the plastic casing of the brake light was touching the glass. But also keep in mind that the soud deadener and ensolite foam pushed the brake light closer to the glass. but still, it's a whole lot better than having the whole rear deck rattle. I'm sure you can add a tiny piece of ensolite foam between the glass and brake light to stop it from rattlling.

Of course it sounds better without the rattles. There is a noticeable difference.

So the Hifonics will put me at around 150watts per sub, and it says it comes with a remote bass control....? I think i wanna go with the hifonics form what iv read, but i have no idea what the remote is. It it is truly some kind of remote to control teh bass then that would be a sleler for me since the bass control on a navi isnt too good.

Single coil.

Whats the diffference with dual coil?
dual vc's are basically 2 sets of inputs to the sub instead of jsut one. they allow for more flexibility when choosing an amp in order to get the most power out of an amp.
single vc is fine, you just have to find an amp that puts out about 250w continuous at 4 ohms.'

the hi fonics puts out 150 contnuous at 4 ohms
the kenwood kac x2 puts out 180
the kac 7203 put out 125
the interfire puts out 225 at 4 ohms. that one will get you closer to the maximum efficiencty for your subs.
now if you look at those amps, you'll see that they make much more power at lower voice coil resistances (ohms). basically if you get one of those, you'll ahve a lot of potential power going to waste becasue they aren't optimized for your sub set up.

if all youwant is 150w rms (continuous) per sub, you could get a kicker zx300.1 mono amp for $87. that's the exact same amount of power as the hifonics for less money. it's a mono amp where you'll connect both subs to the one output channel, maximizing the power output of the amp to your subs.

here's an alpine that will give you 300 watts continuous for less than $200.
it's a little more power than the continuous rating on your subs but they'll be fine, since music isn't a continuous note.

here's a kciker that will give you 200w rms per sub for less than $100.
http://cgi.ebay.com/KICKER-ZX400-1-4...QQcmdZViewItem

pioneer that puts out 180w rms per sub. $134 shipped!
http://cgi.ebay.com/Pioneer-800w-Car...QQcmdZViewItem

here's a pretty bad *** kenwood that put out 450w rms for $158!
it's a bit more than i'd recommend for your subs, but if you just turn the gain down a bit, they'll be fine and loud! it will also give you some room for when you want to upgrade subs (you probably will), you'll have extra power.
http://cgi.ebay.com/KENWOOD-KAC-9103...QQcmdZViewItem

alpine, 200w rms per sub, $111.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ALPINE-MRP-M450-...QQcmdZViewItem

sony 450wrms per sub. $115.
http://cgi.ebay.com/SONY-XM-D9001GTR...QQcmdZViewItem

bazooka that puts out exactly 250 rms per sub. $59!

i could go on an on. i picked only the amps i would consider for my own car, there are some that are junk, but you'll be fine with any of these. some are better than others, but they will all do what you want.

hope that helps.

just found a memphis amp. it's alittle pricier at $209, but they make really good amps. 250w rms per sub.

nope. most of the time these days, people buy dedicated 1 channel mono amps for subs. most mono amps can handle a 2 ohm or even 1 ohm load which enables you to wire up almost as many subs as you want to one amp if you play with the configuration of the resistance load. this is basically why subs are offered with 2 voice coils; more options for wiring to get the most out of the amp.
i just noticed i didn't include the link for that memphis amp. just ebay search memphis mono amp and you'll see it.

what do 4,2,1 ohm mean? Does that mean that most of those amps listed will handle a 4 ohm laod too?

ohms are the measure of resistance that hte speakers have. that's what they"show" the amp. so any amp that will handle a 1 ohm load will handle a 4 ohm. the lower ohms load is harder to handle.

might want to consider playing your music thru a better method. using cassette adaptors is not going to get good music

I layed out the Ensolite on the rear deck and everything sounded really good but when i put the deck plate on top there was a lot of rattling again. How are you supposed to apply it?
