Default installing a new dual din in sc300,help!!

first all i've searched and looked through the wiring diagram and all but still a little confused..i got the metra 70-8112 wiring to run the stock amp, plus i got the metra toyota harness...i hooked up the metra 70-8112, and connected that to the correct corresponding harness off the car wiring, hooked up those power wires that came with the metra harness to the deck's wiring harness, and no power comes on to the deck...is there another power source that i'm suppose to connect into???and how does the toyota harness come into play, they connect to some harnesses that come off the stock deck, but don't look like they hook up to anything..no power and a little confused on how this sets up....any input would be very helpful,i've done a couple of radio installes before but this really sets the mark, leave it to lexus eh....

are you going to use stock speakers and stock amp?
what year is your sc? I can check wires for you 'cuz i'm in a middle of doing my stereo anyway. But you should get 12v power tester.

on the stock radio plug, 12v is a blue wire with yellow stripe and ACC is a gray wire, that is at least on my 95. You should get power tester and double check that.

well, i don't know about it, i run all new speaker wires, but i replaced all speakers and got new amps.
The only thing i used from a stock radio plug are 3 wires, 12v, ACC and ILL.

that metra amp intergration harness is junk, ive used it on multiple lexus cars and always have that same problem, u can try a ground loop isloator. id recomend u run new speaker wire to the ouput side of the factory amp and then run a set of rcas to ur stock sub amp if u have it cut the end off and tap it into the signal input side of ur stock sub amp.

can i put in a new amp in place of the stock one??are all the stock speaker wires connected at the stock amp,if so can i just wire it from there(running the speaker wires into the input side of the new amp),then run rca wires from the output side of the new amp and trace that back to the rca speaker wires on the back of my new deck??how can i also hardwire my subwoofer??will this be a cure to the whining the car is making??

I have the same problem, installed aftermarket with 70-8112 harness and heard that whine sound, antsc300 have you try the ground loop isloator, if you did let me know, cause stuck on the same problem as you.
