Default Aftermarket Nav in Non Nav 05 ES330

I ordered the ML center dash radio faceplate, brackets, screw and bolts.

A local stereo installer mounted my Avic-Z2 in the new bezel, installed a steering wheel interface so that I could continue to use the steering wheel controls and used the Metra 70-8113 amp/radio harness.

The problem: No audio. The steering controls work. Volume level changes on the Avic, radio works, Nav works, everything works, EXCEPT SOUND.

I found this thread while searching:

http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums...hp/t24774.html

I know this is not the same model Lexus as mine and there's no resolution posted anyway.

Has anyone done this successfully?

Please help!

Thank you,

Scott

Anyone have any ideas on how to get the amp to work?

from all the reading i've been doing it appears that the factory pioneer amp is either 6v remote or digital signal remote. you have to bypass the amp or maybe get the other metra kit that has a converter box. i'm installing a pioneer avic-d3 in my 05es330 within the next week as well. will do write up and pics
