I went to a automotive Audio sepcialist today to see what they had as far as options on where to put my two amps, they said over the gas tank. Make a custom bracket to mount the amps above the gas tank. (The gas tank in an SC in right in front of the trunk covered by a piece of felted plastic that is locked into place with clips) Is this safe?? if feel like it is not a very good idea to have my amps floating above my gas tank ?

plenty of ppl make a wall against the cover that goes infront of the gas tank. i wouldnt put it over the gas tank

just my opinion but i think that its possible to set the amps close to where your spare tire is located

I would make a false wall and then mount them on that. It's not hard to do, and if your porting is done up top it won't affect your sound either.

what amps do you have? What does the rest of your trunk setup look like? There are other places that you can mount your amps based on what equipment you're using.
