I had 2 base tubes installed in my trunk and 1 amp and 24 hours later my navagation system doesnt work.
One of the base tubes is sitting on the carpet over the disc player

Did that short the unit?
the dealer told me I need a new ECU?

has anyone heard of this problem before?

try removing the disc and reinstalling. if top of nav unit bent down it will need to be bent back in place as the dvd drive is right under the lid and will bend the mech that spins the disc.. but no way to short it doing that just too much weight bending the top down is probably cause.
