anyone ever removed this from a car? I am trading in my wifes leased car and I wanted to see since they are basically the same if it makes sense to remove it and use it with the next car. I have never removed one or installed but I am pretty good with this kind of stuff. Just dont want to risk something stupid for a few $$ if its not worth it.
Thanks

I'd say its not worth it. You really wouldn't be saving much money. I thought about this when I had my remote start pager system etc one from Clifford installed on my accord. The cost of a brand new one was about $350, but the labor was done by Abt Electronics, so it was done very meticulously. They charged about $300 for labor. I know where they installed everything, but to get to all the panels etc, would have been a PITA. If you think you are good at installing one of these, I'd say you buy a brand new one and install it in your wifes next car. If you think of dated technology and worn parts, would you really want to put an old alarm system into another car? If you're talking very simple auto start alarms, I think its easier, but then again, those can be had for about $100-$150 brand new as well.

i say its not worth pulling it. unless it a nice new 2 way alarm and RS then maybe. other then that get a new one. a basic RS is about 100 bucks at circuit city where i work. a 2 way RS alarm is about 350ish. the prices dont include labor...in case you wanted to do it yourself.
