![Question](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/icons/icon5.gif)
I have a 2003 GX470 with navigation and rear seat entertainment. All of a sudden my speakers stopped working. The radio is still working and I can scroll through stations, but no sound. The navigation sound still works though. I have not removed or added anything to the vehicle and everything is stock. Also the 6-disc changer and the DVD do not work either. When I push the "disc" button the screen displays "the external system is not connected". I have checked the fuses, disconnected the battery, and taken to a local audio shop. Closest dealer is 75miles away, really want to avoid that. Any suggestions on things that I could check?

bump
i'm sorry, but i'm having this exact issue, too. i was listening to a cd while driving, and it just stopped playing. the first message the screen displayed was something about the cd cartridge not being found. i tried to eject it, but it won't come out. after i turned the car off, a new message comes up on the navi screen that says 'the external system is not connected.' i took it to hennessy this morning, and they told me that this problem is not common, and it's caused by playing burned cd's. i've been playing burned cd's since i had the car, so maybe the car just didn't like me playing solange, lol. i was hoping it was a fuse or something, but they told me that they can't eject the cartridge. in short, they told me that i needed a new changer. please please please help.

Bumping for my mom; drives an '02 SC430.
She tells me her speakers started cutting in and out a few days ago. Then, yesterday they stopped working completely, all of them. The stereo still turns on fine, the LCD works, it's just no sound comes out.
If they went from fine to nothing, I'd think maybe it could be a fuse. The fact that they were intermittently cutting out at first, though, makes me think a fuse is unlikely. Agree?
Regardless, any suggestions on where to start looking? I believe she has the ML system. Thanks in advance.

all the 2001 lexus and the 2002 sc430(produced in 2001 were defectiive. there is a tsb sevice bullitin information on this. best to replace with 2003 model amps to assure not getting another defective one if you purchase same 2001 or 2002 sc430 amp..
