Messed up wires need help!!!

ok ... soo when i got in my accident i cracked my dvd player screen and it stopped working...soo i went and and bought the same exact one brand new.... i went to hook it up and it didnt get no power... so i made a new constint power wire...and it got power.... and the ground obviously works..... and the switch wire works cause it turns on when you turn the key....so youd think it should still work but for some reason it wont turn on... i have no idea what could be wrong i really need some kinda help... all the speaker wires work cause i checked them and the radio fuse aint blown neither are the car one.... like its getting power it just aint turning on........ ssomebody PLZZZZZ HELP MEEEE....

what are you checking power with, and make sure u test them right at the plug. depends on the radio yellow should be constant 12v, and red should be acc power( turns on with key on acc and ignition) and ground of course. if u have those 3 your radio should work.

i test the wire that comes right out of the cars harness .... the cars constent power wire dont work....like my tester light dont come on when i touch it.... so i made a wire that came straight from the battery and it had power..... the acc wire works cause it turns on when i turn the key but im wondering if it could be my ground thats the only on i didnt try yet... that should still work tho right...
