"Pause" and "Wait" to be specific.

I am trying to set-up the phone system to be able to dial into work and get into my voice mail. It takes a strong like this:

Dial Phone Number
Wait a few seconds
Dial 4 digit phone mail system
Wait a few seconds
Dial #
Wait a few seconds
Dial 4 digit phone extension
Wait a few seconds
Dial 4 digit password

I thought Pause or Wait would help me get there. How long are the pauses? I don't seem to get anything after an inserted pause.

How does "wait" work? I thought maybe it would wait until I prompted the string to continue.

It seems long above, but there is enough room for a pause or wait between each string.

okay, in case anyone else wanted this info, I played around enough to figure out how to get this to work. The pauses still confuse the hell out of me, but the "wait" command let's you press "send" on the nav screen to send the command after that.

So, you can dial the number, wait for the right time to hit "send" to have the next entry go thru, such as a password or phone extension. And you can of course have multiple "Wait" commands in the que.

So, what I now have in the string:

number
wait
voice mail number
wait
extension
wait
password

Pretty slick, but confusing to figure out without a lot of trial and error.
