Every time I try to put in a new Fuse! It blows
OK... the other day I started smelling a electrical burning smell. It was so bad that I thought my car was on fire. Then it went away, so I thought must have been in the air. Now my radio doesnt work. Every time I try to install a new Fuse for my radio! It blows right away? Does any one have any suggestions on what to do on somthing like this? SC400 92 stock radio...

If you have not messed with the wiring the head unit itself may be the issue. Unplug the harness from the back of the radio and then install a new fuse and see if it blows. You can also check all the wiring behind the deck for any obvious issues. Just my suggestions. Someone may have some more specific advise for you.

Thanks...Is it hard to take out the head unit?

taking out the radio is easy.
remove the cover around the shifter.
take out the cut holder.
you will see the obvious screws that need removing.
take off the whole radio trim assembly and unplug the connections on it(hazard, and volume ****, cigarette lighter)
after that there are 4 or 6 screws that hold the radio/AC assembly to the center console. remove radio and unplug the radio and AC connectors.
thats the general guide but you can find a specific thread on this if you search. good luck. get a multimeter and start checking fuses, connections, and see if you have any exposed wires that may be shorting.
if you need a stock working radio i have one. that is in case its the actual head unit internal problem.
