98-00 ls400 stock radio in a 93 ls400
Does Anyone Know If I Retrofit Can Put A 98-00 Ls400 Radio Into A 1993 Ls400...has Anyone Done It Or Know If It Can Be Done

1-not worth it
2-will NOT bolt in
3-whole wiring harness is different
4-amp will not work with later headunit IF your 1st gen even has an amp (some trim levels did some didnt.
5-doesnt matter since the amp didnt handle the speakers in most 1st gens, just the sub.

98 ls400 is first year of digital factory amp in pioneer lexus premium systems. . . 92 to 97 ls400 were analog amps. analog systems and digital systems are incompatible as amp is controlled by headunit in analog systems but in digital systems the amp controls all the speaker functions not the headunit . so the 98 ls400 radio can play if spliced to a 93 system but there will be no volume or speaker control.
