Possible Beeping Mod for Locking/Unlocking doors?
I have gone through, didn't know how to properly word a search for this, so if this has been covered, please close the thread and point me in the right direction.
Anyway, if you're like me, own an older model SC, you somewhat don't like the feature that you have to go by sound alone when using the keyremote to lock the doors *IE hearing the locking mechanism at work. Alot of cars have a distinct beep and beep beep to signal locked or unlocked. I wonder if there is a possible way to wire something like this this into the stock controls somewhere that way I can get a distinct BEEP when I unlock and a BEEP BEEP when I lock.
Anyone do a mod like this? Know how to do a mod like this?
*AND NO, I DON'T WANT TO BUY AN AFTERMARKET ALARM FOR THE CAR*

Yeah, mine, too, so I guess it is with the '95+. I wonder how simple it would be to do this, if maybe replacing the alarm's unit/brain would only be needed or something more dramatic. It will be nice to know what the differences are between the 92-94 and 95-00 alarm and what is needed to upgrade to the 95-00 for 92-94 SCs.

the door lock wires send out a negative signal everytime theyre triggered. the horn wire is a negative trigger. I can tap into the door lock wires and by using diodes send negative signal to the horn everytime the doors lock or unlock, but thats even when you just use the switch whether the door is open or not. The purpose of the relays are to interrupt the signal being sent to the horn when locking/unlocking when the doors are open.
The only problem i can think of is when unlocking the doors its only gonna beep once, being that it only needs one negative pulse to unlock the doors. I would have to find some kinda of double pulse generator for it to beep twice when unlocking. This seems like way too much damn work, because they do sell keyless entry modules that just lock/unlock the doors and turn on the parking lights and its not an alarm.

never mind what i just said, i didnt read you whole post i was watching football. its possible to try and find the keyless entry module and look for the wires that activate the parking lights when locking/unlocking. and convert that signal to beep the horn if its not already a negative signal that activates the parking lights.
