In-Dash Video System?
Forgive me if there's a similar post to answer this question, let me know if there's somewhere else I can reference.
Just bought a '99 ES300 and am looking to replace the stock stereo with a 7" DVD/MP3 system. I've researched some forums and figured out how to remove the current system so i'll be good once I find something worthwhile to pick up.
I'm looking at about $3-400 MAX and was curious about:
- 1 DIN Flip up display vs. 2 DIN 7" monitor display - pros/cons/preferences
- Good brands to lean towards (or avoid!)
- Any other considerations to keep in mind...
Thanks in advance!

if you got the space for it, then get a double din. if not a single din. if you have space for double and getting a single din would leave you a gap( unless you need it...)
i chose eclipse as its the same unit as the ones lexus sells.

Thanks for the comments guys. I guess I wasn't specific to state that I wasn't necessarily in need of GPS, although if you're doing this sort of setup I suppose it's worth the extra couple bills to have the added feature.
Mainly I wanted a Aux-In for my Creative Zen MP3 player. I need something simple above the stock radio and then got all antsy when I saw all the cool gadgets available on the market.
Is it true that if you unhook the stock radio and have any desire to re-hook it up, you have to have the security stuff reprogrammed by Lexus?
