You have to bypass the factoy amp either if its Pioneer or Nakamichi. Then you wont have any bass from the sub. So your best be is to plan to buy either a new 5-channel amp or run a new sub and amp...Good luck, it took some money and time for mine.

the 2000 factory cd changer made by pioneer can be converted to a i bus pioneer aftermarket changer and plug into any pioneer made aftermarket navi. it takes changing the plug in boards. after conversion your factory changer will even has cd text which your 2000 headunit couldnt read but your 2008 pioneer nav headyunit can. the pioneer i bus cable with the blue 10 pin squarish head will plug into the converted changer. . the changer will still look the same and fit into glovebox the same and use the same 6 disc magazine and same eject button.
