SC000 OEM CD Changer
i searched like 10 pages and i didnt find the answer to my question even though this is a simple question... i was just wondering if my stock 95 sc300 cd changers can play burned CDs, can't figure out from experience because mine doesn't work when i bought the car

yes they upgraded the 1995 sc changer so it could at least play some of the better burnt cds. it depends mopre on the quality of the burner than the changer.
if your older sc changer has a blue circular dot on the serial number sticker then even the 92 t0 94 sc 12 disc changers can play burnt csds. when upgrades were made they put a sticker on the serial number sticker on the side of the changer.
but for comparison the first pioneer factory car cd changer in 1989 produced for lexus ls400 6 disc trunk changers (weighed 20 pounds with all the brackets.)made by pioneer could play burnt cds right from the git go. . pioneers lead in home cd burners in the early 90s made their car cd players way ahead of the panasonic made 12 disc sc400. even bmw alpine made cd changers couldnt play burnt cds from 1989 to 1992. pioneer of course was the maker of large laser disc cd movies starting in 1984 so they knew a lot about cd technology way ahead of the other cd player makers.
