I put a 99 es300 factory cd/cassette/radio into my 98 es300 - the 99 radio had a 20 pin plug and my 98 es300 has a 15 - I bought a female 15 pin harness to attach to the car and a 20 pin male harness to attach to the radio and I connected all the wires. Everything works except for the dimmer. radio lights stay on bright when i dimm all the other lights in the cabin. Can't see how to fix it.
Pulled out 20-5 shoved it into 20-12, spliced with 15-9
Figured it out from other posts - 20-5 was unused so I pulled it out and shoved it into 20-12 and then spliced it with 15-9. Worked... Dimmer = ill+/ill-...
!!!!HELP!!!!!I need to know the color identification color diagram of my 97 es 300. I am hooking up an amp and sub to the factory radio. So I need to know the 4speaker wires, Acc for the remote wire and the ground wire

I've been dealing with this problem since a person I know cut all the wires when I asked them to pop the wires out the connection harness 😂 was going to adjust them to match a harness I have. So I've eliminated the CD changer also. I am trying to install pioneer avh 4000 and use the system as it was though that is not going to happen I think. Notes on it so far I've made sure there is plenty of errors Mine is a 1998 ES300
