Default Nak head unit going out. Aftermarket suggestions

ok i have a 98 gs400 and my nak radio is going out. I want a nice clean double din nav, dvd player, and monitor that will work with factory changer and also not brake the bank. I always hate changing factory out because factory speakers never sound as good and i have to change them out as well then next thing you know you have 6000 dollars in stereo. I want something that will work with my factory speakers, changer and sub and sound just as good maybe even better. Let me know some suggestions.

Most of the components from the Nak system wont work with an aftermarket unit. Unfortunately the amp will not run from the new head unit without some electric modification that I know that I cant do... The sub, amp, and cd changer will not work, it all has to be bypassed.

Yeah if you dont want to spend that much money my suggestion is to just get another Nak HU and just upgrade your speakers. My suggestion for the best value of quality is to go with some JL TR's or Alpine Type S. Great quality speakers that will go for around $200 total for all four.

Then just go with a replacement Nak head unit... If you enjoy the sound you have already then keep it. Spend the money on other upgrades that you want to see more in your car.

[QUOTE=louiegs400;3896640]you can do all that on your stock lexus nav

The Nakamichi headunit is not a nav unit... unless you are referring to something else. The Nakamichi's were before they started using ML.
