Hi guys,

I've searched all the forums and all over internet for whether or not it was possible to play DVD-video in my 2009 IS250 with Navigation package (ML premium audio).

I've read that a lot of ppl can play DVD-video only with the car in park, but even when my car's parked, i brought a DVD in and put it in and i get the error "CD-Check"

I'm confused cuz the manual mentions stuff about DVD-video and such so i thought that it would support it.

Why is it that i can't view DVD-video at all? would really appreciate some help, thanks!

are you sure you have ML?

and i dont know if this helps but i THINK ebrake has to be engaged

i did some research and the 2009 IS250 with navigation package includes premium audio that uses ML..

Your NAV should have a label that says Mark Levinson where the other logos are.

Even without the car in park you should be able to play the audio from a DVD movie, if you are getting CD-check then something is wrong.
But to get video you have to be in park and have the ebrake on.

Man, I am 100% you are confusing stuff....one thing is NAVIGATION PACKAGE and other completely different is ML audio. I got Nav package on my IS but it does not have a DVD player. If you have ML you should see the ML Label (as phantax said above) right below the opening for the cd/dvd. Good news are that you can still get video on your screen buying an interface. Bad news are that if you wanted ML and you did not get it, you are screwed because you cannot get it install afterwards and at the same time is not worth it. Hopefully you are on the good news' way.......

and ya, verdict is that i don't have the ML package - didn't even know waht it was before looking on the forums.

what interface can i buy? if it's not possible to name on forums could u pm me please? i heard of one from prestigious society, but is there alternatives?

The kit from vaistech will let you play video from an iPod. I am not sure if any DVD interface exists.

Thanks phantax! SL2Vi will let you play video on your screen from your iPod. We also developing SL2Vu, which will have universal audio/video input.
