DSP Necessary for Stock ML System?
Hey guys. I have the ML Nav head unit in my 2002 GS430 and I'm looking to add a 5ch amp into my car as well as upgrade the front and rear door speakers. I've been around the local shops around here and some have told me I need a DSP like a CleanSweep or AudioControl LC6 etc and others said I can just run a high/low converter.
AFter researching this site, I haven't found a clear answer as to if a DSP is needed. I'm looking for clarity and staging with my intended system, USD Audio WaveGuide Components and Mids powered by an old school Soundstream Reference 405S, however I want to make this as easy as possible. I've already replaced my stock sub with a Rockford Punch 10in and it's free air. Thoughts?

Anyone have feedback to this inquiry. I still can't find an understandable solution whether or not a DSP is needed when upgrading the speakers and amp in an ML/Nav head unit.

Answer found! Looks like I'll be getting the Audio Control Lc6.
