Hello guys,

I had the viper 791 installed for a few years and I realized today that my pager does not update. All the functions work, (lock,unlock,autostart,aux,vibrate/tone,illum), but the screen on the pager always show the car is unlocked. It seems like the brain is not sending the signal to my pager? I have already pulled the battery out and resetting the pager.

Pager sends signal but does not receive a confirmation on my screen.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

More than likely its the transceiver in the antennae head and not the brain. Start troubleshooting by connecting a new antennae head. If that doesn't work, then try a new pager unit. (have a shop test one there for you so you don't have to purchase one only to find out it isn't the pager. If both of those don't work try a new antennae lead. Last troubleshooting item would be the brain.

Probably the remote itself (I think that's what he's trying to say). Have a shop program one of there's and test it before you jump to any conclusions (then have them deprogram it, hehe).

i just got a spare remote from my friend, does anyone know how to program one of these?

a local installation shop should be able to tell you the process. the new remotes usually come with the instructions. i know mine did... around here the local shops are usually very helpful with that sort of thing!
