Default Can you do this...

I was wondering if you could get an aftermarket 6 disc cd changer and hook it up to the stock 6 disc cd changer that lexus comes with. Is that possible or do you need to get everything new? thanks guys!

no, unless that aftermarket CD changer is compatible to the head unit, then you play some tricks to get they are both to work. Other than that, the aftermarket CD changer will not understand the control protocols use by the lexus factory head unit==> they basily don';t talk to each other.

OOOOOORRRR..... Get a CD changer that has RF controls. It will then play through your car via RF....
I used to run a setup like this when i used to travel a lot...BMW only had a 6 disk at the time. The setup was cheap and fast (i did it going down the coast at some tiny stereo shop...a few $$ and about 30mins in a parking lot....got tired of pulling over to switch CD's )

=2 cd changers
