Anyone been able to integrate an AUX input w/ factory stereo?
I want to do a setup where I lose the CD changer completely and use that BUS plug on a device that allows for a 3.5mm jack to be able to be used with an MP3 player.
The factory changer skips over each bump in the road and I know they are known for failing.
Ideally, I have a male 3.5mm jack in the armrest storage where it is concealed and the jack is live when I push the CD button on the radio.
This is for the standard non-Nakamichi radio.
I wish Toyota/Pioneer had just put an aux jack on the radio to begin with. My 3000GT has this and it went unused for over a decade but when I did get an ipod it was so easy for me plus the sound quality was CD like.
The tape player adapter route is a no go. Sound quality is very poor and flat....no distiction of high/low notes at all.
