Test tone frequencies to set amp gain
I heard that a 1khz @ 0 db tone would do for the midwoofers and tweeters. What test tone would I need for the subs? I'm assuming if I use the same 1khz tone the LP crossover would just filter that frequency out and nothing would be going to the sub.
Also would anyone know where I can download these test tones?

Any low frequency signal would suffice to test the sub. 60 hZ would work.
A MUCH easier way to set gain levels is this:
Put all settings on the HU to flat and turn all amp gain ***** to 0.
Turn on HU and put volume to approx. half volume.
Begin turning up the gain ***** one by one (ex. front channel, rear channel, sub channel)
Turn the gain up until you begin to hear audible distortion (it helps to have one person sitting in drivers seat and another adjusting the gain)
Once distortion is heard, back the gain down slightly until distortion is lost.
Done.
