My OE amplifier on my '98 ES300 just took a dive. Can some one recommend where I can purchase a new or used one? Or can some one recommend buying an after market amp with wiring harness adapters? It seems there are way too many wires on this OE unit, compared to an after market set up.

Either way I appreciate the help. The OE# of the amp is 86100-33040 or according to a Toyota parts website it has been superseded by 86100-33041.

 

I would recommend aftermarket because of the advantages in upgrades. You can upgrade your door speakers with an aftermarket. You will have to use the line level outputs from your factory radio and convert them to RCA to plug into the new four channel amp.

Or, you could simply find a plug and play factory replacement...
