Proud new owner of an '02 SportCross with the Nav system...

Here's my question:
The top right of the screen (this one rotates up, not fixed) seems to have a small square that looks oddly like an infrared sensor. WTF?

I'm pretty sure it's not the light detector that switches it to night mode.

Any clue?

Just out of curiosity, is the IS 300 Navigation system TOUCHSCREEN like other models??

 

Where did you get yours, I am in the market to get one. How much you paid?

Actually the sportcross uses the joystick (which is located between the gear shift and the arm rest) so it's a tad less cool, but no messy finger prints all over the screen and the joysticks location is very comfortable to use. Plus no leaning forward to use it.

I bought the car in Virginia near DC as a demo model with 4k on it for 34,500 + TTT. Car is loaded. (17inch wheels, nav system, moonroof, cargo mat, leather power seats, and the $40 wheel locks --LOL!)
