Default Alpine Product

2003 Lexus GS 430 with Mark Levinson.

I just installed these: http://www.crutchfield.com/p_500SPS6...3&tp=106&avf=N

Planning to put on these for enhancement: http://www.crutchfield.com/p_500MRPF...3&tp=115&avf=N

The Alpine component set I got was a good budget, but it wasn't to great to be honest. The tweeters sounds great, much better than the stock ones. But the door speakers in the front with alpine sound not crisp and kinda like how you say it... low quality-ish. So I'm planning to amp up my front speakers with the Amp from Alpine. Any suggestions ?

I was never a fan of alpine speakers and for their price they were very disappointing. I guess they haven't really changed in the last few years

I have the Alpine SPS-17C's in all four corners in my SC. They sound good and I have them amp'd. I'm soon going to upgrade to SPR's components.

Ive only heard the type-R components, which sounded alright.
Any plans on a sub?
Type-X is the way to go!

Type X's are sweet, frekin powerhouses, I would be completely satisfied with two Kicker CVX's. I have one and it is awesome!

To get the full potential out of a component set, they'll need to be pushed with an amp. For that set 50-75 watts per channel would really make them sing.

Well im using the Alpine Type S for the fronts and backs. I don't know which subwoofer to go with now. Those alpine are averagely priced, not too expensive. As for quality, I give it a 7 out of 10 (best). You guys are right, it does needs to be amped to have quality sound to the fullest, which I haven't done yet. My plan is to amp the subwoofer instead of the alpine type S (door speakers and tweeters). What do you guys think? In the front would be like the mid-range for the treible and the woofer for the bass. How about that?

I'm adding an amp for the woofer only. With Rockford Fosgate the cheapest one in their line.
