Add audio line in to 2002 ES300 Nakamichi Head Unit for MP3 player?
I just had a hard-drive based MP3 player (the Phatbox) installed in my 2002 ES300 via a Sony RF modulator, which serves as the control interface as well as the audio interface (it brings the audio in through the FM radio). I would like to hardwire the audio, rather than come in through the radio, but my understanding is that my HU (stock Nakamichi unit with in-dash 6-CD changer) has no auxiliiary inputs.
Does anyone know if it is possible to hard-wire the audio (maybe through the pre-amp (adding a switch), or otherwise), while keeping the FM modulator for the control interface?
