You have to "bypass" the amp and do either of 2 things,
A: run wires from the radio into the doors and back to the speakers or
B: run 4 sets of speaker wires from the radio back to where the amp is in the trunk and tap into the speaker wires there.

thanks for the reply. i'll go with option B since the car when i got it has speaker wires running into from the head unit to the stock amp already but for some reason he ran the wires back to the stock amp.
