Another sub to Nakamichi Amp
i have a 90 ls4 with the Nakamichi Sound System, i got a good deal with my boy thats selling a 12in mtx tube. I want to hook it up the the naki. amp. would this harm anything? and would it sound good? I am really tempted in buying the sub but dont wanna spend to much money.
would it hit harder than the 8in sub there?
and what are the specs. of the naki sub in there and the amp for the 90ls4?
thanks alot.

I'm not as knowledgeable as some other CL members, but you look all lonely here with no responses yet, so I'll tell you what I know. The Nak on your 90 LS is probably similar to my 92 SC, meaning 4 ohms and about 100 watts to the woofer.
The MTX, at 12" with an enclosure, has got to sound better than the 8" free-air Nak driver.
If you find out you need more power, many CL members have added an extra amp, connected to the woofer outputs of the Nak, using Line Level Converters, or, even better, tapping into the input signal going INTO the amp.
You can read more about all of this by reading previous postings- use the seach function. For example, here is a great discussion about all this on the SC400 forum, including pictures. Many of the issues are the same for your LS:
