Default Alternator upgrade

Has anyone on here upgraded from the factory alternator or rewound there stock one? if you have what were the effects? did you have the problem of very low ouput at idle(my car idles below 500rpms) and is there any problems with you having too much power coming out of it(melting wires, burning up harnesses?)

i doubt anyone has done this but though i would ask, im about to talk to the dealer about having them respool mine or maybe put bigger lexus one in there...

I had my alternator replaced due to the heavy usage of power from my sound system(2000 watts actual power.) At the beginning people told me there will be some electronic problems after I use the after market alternator. But it has been 3 years since I had it done, and everything works perfectly.......not a single problem~~~~
