Video-in (Playstation, DVDs) on stock Nav screen
Can this be done? there was a post a while ago that named a shop (in NJ or Boston, methinks) that was working on this hack. Unfortunately, I lost track of the shop's number.
This would be an ideal solution for me since the factory Nav doesn't really get stolen, not nearly as much as a $2000 head unit.
I have GS400 with the hard-drive based Nav.
Thanks in advance!

The site is:

Unfortunately, being from California, driving my car to New York to have this system installed isn't particularly practical. Are there any other options?

Another supplementary monitor that raises up from the top of the dash, either pop-up or flip-up. That way you can enjoy external video sources like DVD player or PS2 or TV, while the stock NAV screen will be used for NAV and other audio/climate controls. This is good because you don't intrude into the existing system and doesn't get into warranty issues if something fails.
Think about it, if you get a flip-up 7 inch screen and DVD player and hook them up, they're actually not THAT costly considering you don't need a monitored headunit, just a plain monitor. DVD player for car = cheap also.
hope this helps

GlobeCLK, Thanks for your suggestions but where would I put this? The factory Nav + ML takes up the entire center console of the dash.

or mount the monitor on the passenger side, but facing the driver. Like this:

What about swap out all the speakers and amps and put in new units?
