Question Remove front speakers

To replace the front speakers for a '96 es300 does the grill come off or do you have remove the door panel? If so how do you remove the door panel?

You'll have to take off the door panel. First, with the door open, find the little circular plastic piece toward the front (where the dash is when the door is closed) pop that off with a panel tool and uscrew the screw underneath. Then pull out the little carpeted piece in the bottom of the handle hole behind the window controls, take out the screw below it. Then pry out the piece surrounding the door handle and lock mechanism. Then take the panel tool and pop out the clips around the bottom and side edges. The panel should come off now, just unplug the wires connecting it.

I hope that wasn't too hard to understand. If you're having trouble, there is a guy who had a few pics to go along with this, go to www.sounddomain.com go to the member pages and look for Lexus ES-series and check through the pages there.
