I have the 220's. If you liked the 240's, I expect that you'll like the 220's. If you look at Dyn's curves for frequency response and compare the 220 vs 240, they are pretty similar. The tweeters in both systems are the same MD100. The larger mid of the 240 goes a bit lower, so when swapping out for the smaller MW150 in the System 220, you need to properly match the cutoffs so that you don't wind up with a hole in the freq response. Some may also say that you'll wind up with slightly less midbass up front, if you're sensitive to that.

Bottom line is that tonal quality and distortion characteristics should be extremely similar between those two systems.

JL Audio 300/4 = 4-ch x 75W RMS for the front & rear doors. Decent quality amps that spec well and are great for the price, but there's better out there for much more money.
