I thought I read, or was told at one point, that this is caused by the Gain being turned up too high.
If its really bad, maybe the system isn't properly grounded?
I do not know for sure; I'm not an electronics guy.

Corey2k1, ive checked out ur site, very nice and clean layout. two questions though. how come u went with bostons speakers up front and alpines in the rear? also is ur alpine amp pushing all 5 channels. front, rear, and sub? oh wait never mind, u changed ur head unit too. I was thinkin about adding another 6channel amp to push front rear and a third set of speakers in my rx. but it would have to be off the original stock head unit. damn lcd display and lease, lol

i don't think it is a ground problem... my friend w/ the Lanzars is meticulous with grounding, shaving down the metal on the frame etc. and he gets the noise EVERY time he shuts down..
DJ, i ordered all the Alpine stuff and then found out the Alpine 6.5s wouldn't fit up front. the Bostons sounded good to me for a mid-level speaker...

corey.... ok thanks. ahh i see why u got the bostons, how come they didnt fit, the speaker was too deep or the holes didnt line up? if i do go with speakers im not sure of a couple of things... 1. what speaker fits exactly in my doors, how much depth i have to work with. 2. what type of speaker to go with ( i really want audiobahn or mb quart) and 3. if i should go with components or just liek 3 and 2 way speakers. ....?

the speaker depth was too much; it hits the window when it is rolled down. i think you need a depth of 2.5" or less for the front speakers... can't remember. anything will fit in the rear.

Turn on noise can easily be due to the amp's build, not necessarily anything wrong. My D300HC had a really bad one, but you get used to it. Hell, the $600+ Diamond amps have a turn on noise...

You can buy TURN ON POP eliminators from your local store, if you cant find it locally..here

you just need to delay the amp remote turn on for 1/2 a second or so, turn on your head unit, then the amp 1/2 sec later.
that's the idea, I am sure someone is sell one of these device for you. just a simple RC circuit, but I am not going into that now. good luck

BananaGS is correct, you need to put in a delay between your head unit and the amp. I real surprised that you have this problem since most high end newer amps have this delay built into them cure this problem...
