Default Looking into a radar!

I'm looking to buy a radar. I'm trying to choose between, the usual, Valentine 1 and 9500ix. I've asked a lot of people and still can't decide which one. I know the Valentine 1 is more annoying, don't know if you can disable that. What are your opinions?

I have a V1
and i'm happy with it
but it does detect everything when you're
in an area full of automaitc doors
but highway wise its awesome
and on country side roads with a lot of hills and curves

If you are planning on using the radar detector even for city driving dont get a valentine one or you will get soo many false alarms its annoying. I had that for 25 days and returned it and bought a escort 9500ix and its better. Less false alarms and more precise.

I got a 9500ix and this is my first detector. All I can say is it doesn't go off frequently like people say with other ones, but when it goes off it definitely picks up something you should pay attention to. Also, make a friend with an employee at Best Buy because with their discount they get it for like $350.
