"Well, the alternator is new and there is plenty of juice while I'm driving so I figure it is the battery. It is one of these yellow tops that came with it when I bought it. Can I fill the cells with that charge juice? Or should I just buy a battery? I'm leaning towards picking up another battery."
Optima batteries are gel cell, ie the cells are filled will jello like chemical. no liquid.
Once a battery (or any battery) ran out of juice, there is no way you gonna reverse the chemical process with anything (recondition batt == replace all the chemical and the cell inside)
you maybe able to fill it with charge juice (for conventional batt only) but it will fail again, you need to get your batt test out free at any local auto part store to see if it still holding charge, if not, time for a new one.
hope that help making up your mind

Just got that thingy for my Optima. It is well a really cool toy. Really well made, looks awesome and does the job very well. Highly recommend...I haven't put it in my car yet so I will post whether it clears the hood. I am prety sure it will by the looks of it.

guys,
as for strapping down the yellow top all you have to do is go to Home Cheapo and get a box of 50 - 1/4 wahsers...use 13 on each of the factory "tie-down" screws (I held my 13 washers together with some black electric tape, and use the existing tie-down...without the black plastic shroud. Total cost $2.90.
I am using a Yellow Top not for a killer stereo, but because I only drive my car occasionally in the winter and I killed my regular battery 'cuz I was too lazy to put my charger on in "trickle charge mode"...won't make that mistake again $170 Optima Yellow TOp dollars later.
