well I want to get an MP3 deck, nothing too fancy or expensive mybe in the lines of $300, now my question is which has better sound quality alpine or kenwood?

I went with an Alpine 7995 (Ebay brand new - $380), but there's another model for ~$300...the Alpine 7894. Here's some good links to them both:
