Please explain? Not trying to bust ***** but why do you think that? While a proper bandpass enclosure (which is normally significantly larger than a ported box when built correctly using T/S specs) produces greater low frequency dB gains, they are in a very narrow and specific frequency range (dependent on enclosure tuning). A ported box can have substantial dB gains but still reproduce low frequencies over a broader range.

Bandpass enclosures work extremely well for dB drag events, but ported enclosures tend to be better suited to everyday music listening.
