I have a 2000 GS400 with factory navi.
I plan on replacing this unit with HVAC controls from a non-navi GS and an aftermarket in-dash navi. unit from Kenwood, Pioneer, or Alpine. I have the Kenwood Excelon series in my honda accord, it is a very nice system and is very user friendly.
I am not familiar with Pioneer, but there newest in-dash navi unit
(AVIC-Z110BT) has really caught my eye. It has way more features than the newest offering from Kenwood.
Therefore I would like the opinion of those here that have used either one, especially from those that have used the Pioneer Navi units.
How are the Alpine in-dash Navi. units?
Which one do you recommend? Kenwood, Pioneer, or Alpine?
Pro vs. Con. of each brand
Your help would be greatly appreciated.

I had a pioneer navigation unit in my previous Avalon, the AVIC-D2, it was nice and easy to install. It had the 6.5in screen and had the video enabled while driving and I was able to watch video and listen to music through my Hard Disk navigation.
Kenwood is also a nice navigation unit and so is Alpine. The best thing to do is compare features and decide which add-on equipment you want to use. From my personal opinion, I like pioneer headunits.

I had a Kenwood DNX6140 installed in my RX350 for about 3 hours. Great system. Very user friendly.
Anyways, I had to take it out. My car has the Mark Levison DVD. And without the original head unit installed. Nothing works. No A/C or any other system control through the display works.
