So i got a hidden antenna from the junkyard today and im tryin to figure out how to get it working, i splice into the grey wire for ACC 12V and grounded it but couldnt find a decent grounding point.

I followed the wire diagram on how to install a aftermarket stereo with stock amp... after wiring up everything still no sound yet??

ooh and it was a 5 finger discount when i got the antenna.

i got pics of it but i dunno wheres a good ground?

 

anyone? ive searched no clue

Good grounding point would be to the chassis. Looks like you tried to screw it in between two plastic pieces? .... You could always extend the wire if you need to and create a grounding point to the chassis by drilling a small hole and use a coarse type screw. Another would be tapping it to the ground of the stereo harness.

YUP!! my buddy was takin out a alarm from a prelude at the yard and i saw the antenna im like i need that! so i just stuck it in my pocket and walked out.

Kool ill just tap into the stereo ground and see if i hear anything? thanks.
